MALIBU BARBIE BACHELORETTE PARTY RECAP

Well hello there, it’s been a minute since I’ve been on here! I have a legit excuse though…I’m a little over a month out from my wedding, so I’ve been heads down in wedding planning mode. I’ve been counting down the days for that, but until then…I figured I should *finally* recap my bachelorette party that happened last month!

My original bachelorette party was actually going to be in Vegas, but when COVID hit I pivoted to something less ~crowded~ and more chill. Thus, Malibu became my choice! And of course I had to go with the Malibu Barbie theme for my Bachelorette!

Everything was so. much. fun. Bachelorette parties are the best because you get all your best girls in one place, and then they all become friends! <3 It was a blast seeing everyone and getting to hang all weekend long. I had 12 girls come, and it was the perfect group size.

There is so much to share and this is only a snippet of all the photos I have from the weekend, LOL – but I’ll do my best to try to link and share everything with y’all!!

Where we stayed:

So our airbnb was INCREDIBLE, this is the one I booked. It was AJ McLean’s (from the Backstreet Boys) home before! I do have to warn you though, this is straight up in the mountains of Malibu. Which means stunning, incredible, breathtaking views…but also if you get carsick (ahem) and nauseous easily, this may not be the spot for you. It was also pretty difficult to get Ubers to come up there. Other than that, it was amazing, lol!

Itinerary:

Friday: Some girls arrived early, so we spent some time in Santa Monica where one of the girls lived! We ate at Elephante for lunch [yum!], then walked around the Santa Monica Pier area. Dinner was at Nobu Malibu (the views were insane and food was so delicious), and then game night at the Airbnb! The girls gifted me lingerie and I guessed who gave me what. Surprisingly I was REALLY good at this game. I guess I just know my friends well 🙂 We also played The Bachelorette Bundle games which had multiple games inside: Bubbly Pong, Quiz The Groom, Bach Charades, I Have Never, Who Knows The Bride Best?, What Am I? and Truth or Dare. I highly recommend this – makes game planning so easy, and all the games are so fun!

Saturday: We did a professional photoshoot at the Airbnb – I found Kym (Still Expression Photography) on IG and loved her aesthetic so I booked her! She was the sweetest and so patient with us (herding a group of 12 isn’t easy, lol!) – the photos turned out AMAZING. I’ll treasure the photos forever!! Then we did lunch & had a pool party at the Airbnb. Later on that night, we had a professional chef come and cook us a delicious dinner. Highly recommend doing this for at least one night! Lastly, we were supposed to get drinks at the Bamboo Lounge but because of the whole carsick/uber issues, instead we decided to make our own club at home and dance! The girls transformed one of the rooms into a club – put up a sheet to make the room completely dark, acted like bouncers, put some flashing colorful lights on the tv, and blasted club music. It was the most fun ever – dancing & partying in slippers is the way to go, I tell ya!

Sunday: Chill day – we had lunch at Paradise Cove, then laid out on the beach. It started to get chilly this day, so thank god we had our sweatshirts! We went to dinner at Geoffrey’s at night.

Barbie and pink everything!!! They say details are what makes a party, and I agree – sometimes it’s all about the decor! I was obsessed with it all – linked everything below. My sister made the custom shot glasses with her cricut (so cute right??), so I can’t link those.

I was all about making sure they were just what I wanted because I mean, it’s your bach…so why not?! 🙂 I knew I wanted to wear white the whole weekend, but I had my girls wear animal print one night (#wildnight), shades of pink one night, and pastels one day! Other than that, we were matching all weekend long 🙂
