ASHEVILLE, NC | GUIDE TO WINTER BACHELORETTE PARTIES
There are many reasons why we love winter bachelorette parties - you don’t have to deal with the intense heat, if you’re traveling there are less crowds, and it’s usually cheaper considering for most locations it’s their “off” season. Because many brides also seem to plan for summer parties, winter bachelorette bashes are VERY underestimated and are starting to move more into the spotlight, making them the perfect go-to party for those unique brides out there.
Themes
Creatively speaking there are more “themed” opportunities for your winter bachelorette party. It’s the holiday season, and for many states there is lots of snow making the list of things you can do even longer (and more magical!).
Camping/glamping, skiing trips (not to mention the amazing number of resort lodges out there!), mountain parties, matching pj slumber parties, wine tastings (yes vineyards are open even in the winter!) and spa days are just a couple of your options.

Locations
While some brides opt for more epic winter parties (Utah, Colorado, Alberta Canada, Alaska), there are so many local gems that truly fly under the radar. The locale that is our personal favorite is close to our hearts; Asheville, NC! Nestled in the gorgeous Blue Ridge mountains in the heart of North Carolina the options of things to do are seemingly endless. This unique and eccentric town is simultaneously classy and luxurious but also appeals to the hipster crowd.
Accomodations
There are plenty of options in Asheville. For those of you wanting a more luxurious experience, there are famous hotels (including the Omni Grove Park Inn) and resorts. If saving money is your thing, campgrounds and hostels in Asheville are outrageously adorable and beautiful with plenty of options to choose from. House or cabin rentals are our favorite option (especially for those of you with more bridesmaids in your wedding party). They are super hip, cost effective, private and usually include great amenities (HOT TUBS!).

Activities
Despite Asheville being the perfect-sized mountain city, it’s surrounded by farms that have vineyards ( wine tastings!), there is the legendary Biltmore Estate, there are spas galore, not to mention tons of restaurants & bars, art galleries, lodges, art classes, cozy nooks and coffee shops. For the adventurous bride, don’t forget about axe throwing!
Apparel
Options:
When styling our favorite winter bachelorette gear, we love to keep it cozy and throw on a flannel shirt over our tees! If you opt for one of our warm and super cute customizable flannels we recommend pairing them with classic jeans and boots or sneakers (don’t forget, there are lots of places to walk to in Asheville!).
Decorations
One of the best parts about traveling to a new location for your party is decorating your hotel or house with bachelorette swag for the bride! When it comes to parties in the mountains you can bet that there should be plaid and faux fur details! Etsy and Amazon are our favorite place to go for decorations and the options are limitless!
Party Favors
As for the bride, don’t forget about your personalized gifts for your favorite ladies! For a winter bachelorette we recommend personalized throw blankets, slippers, matching pj’s, or eyemasks! All of these things will be sure to keep your group cozy during your stay in Asheville.
